Day 1 (ARRIVAL- CAIRO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - CAIRO)

Arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met & transferred to your hotel for O/N.

Day 2 (CAIRO TOUR – MEMPHIS – SAKARA – THE PYRAMIDS – SPHINX – PAPYRUS & PERFUMES SHOPS)

After breakfast, be prepared for a full day tour visiting Memphis. Near the remains of Memphis stands the Alabaster Sphinx was carved in honor of an unknown Pharaoh most likely during the eighteenth dynasty, between 1700 and 1400 BC. Then Sakkara which is one of the most extensive Archaeological sites in Egypt! It was the cemetery for Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt. The site dates back to 2700 BC.

The Pyramids: The Great Pyramid of Giza is the main part of a complex setting of buildings that included two mortuary temples in honor of Khufu, three smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives, an even smaller "satellite" pyramid, a raised causeway connecting the two temples, and small Mastaba tombs surrounding the pyramid for nobles.

Nearby is Sphinx. The Sphinxes of Egypt are mythical creatures, seen as guardians in the Egyptian statuary depicted in one of these three forms: Androsphinx - body of lion with head of person; Criosphinx - body of lion with head of ram; Hierocosphinx - body of lion with head of falcon or hawk. Papyrus & Perfumes shops are among our program of today. Here are examples of most of the papyrus art that I acquired in Egypt. Some of the art used gilded (gold/silver) paint, which didn't scan well, but at least you'll get the idea as to what they look like. Return to hotel for O/N.

Day 3 (CAIRO – ASWAN – HIGH DAM – UNFINISHED OBELISK – PHILAE TEMPLE – KOM OMBO TEMPLE - EDFU)

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for a domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, our representatives will assist you and arrange a transfer to the Hile Cuise to drop off your luggage. Then we will  start by visiting the High Dam. As a result of the Dam, a lake was formed “lake Nasser”, which is the world’s largest man made lake. Then we will visit the Unfinished Obelisk. It is believed that it was constructed and abandoned during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty). Then to Philae Temple which was called in Hieroglyphic “Apo” which means Ivory.

In the afternoon we will be taken to a Felucca ride around agha khan mausoleum and visit of the Botanical gardens. In the afternoon we will sail toKom Ombo, visiting Kom Ombo Temple: it is dedicated to two gods, and the entire temple holds two perfectly symmetrical sections. Then we will sail to Edfu. O/N.

Day 4 (EDFU TEMPLE – ESNA – LUXOR)

After breakfast, we will visitEdfu temple. Edfu was known as “Apollo polis Magna” because the Greeks identified Horus with their God Apollo. The origins of the Temple probably date back to the Second Intermediate Period, but the actual Temple only dates back to Ptolemaic times. Then we will sail to Esna then to Luxor. O/N on board.

Day 5 (LUXOR - VALLEY OF THE KINGS – HATSHEPSUT TEMPLE – COLOSSI OF MEMNON – KERNAK TEMPLE – LUXOR TEMPLE )

After breakfast, start visiting the Valley of the Kings. The earliest known tomb of the New Kingdom within the Valley of the Kings is that of Tutmose I, who started to use the valley as a royal burial site. We will visit Hatshepsut Temple which is one of the most characteristic temples due to its design and decorations. The Temple was built for the great Queen Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty). Then we will proceed to Colossi of Memnon. These two colossal statues (about 20 meters high) of the deified Amenophis III once flanked the entrance of the first pylon at the pharaoh's mortuary temple. The temple is now completely destroyed, ruined first by flood waters and later cannibalized for its stone. Both statues are damaged as well, lacking their faces and tall royal crowns.

In the afternoon, we will visit Karnak Temple. The Temple of Karnak is the largest Temple in the World! The complex contains a group of Temples such as the Great Temple of Amon Ra, The Temple of Khonso, The Ipt Temple, The Temple of Ptah, the Temple of Montho and the Temple of the God Osiris. A 20m high, mud brick enclosure wall, surrounded all of these buildings. Then we will head to Luxor Temple. It was known in the New Kingdom period as Ipt-Rsyt, which means the southern shrine, Amenhotep III built Luxor Temple. The architect and overseer of the works of construction was the genius Amenhotep, son of Habu, the Temple run close and parallel to the river Nile from north to south. It was constructed on the site of a small Temple of Amon, built by kings of the 12th dynasty. Return back to Cruise for O/N on board.
