Day 1 (ARRIVAL- CAIRO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - CAIRO)

Arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met & transferred to your hotel for O/N. 

 

Day 2 (CAIRO TOUR – PYRAMIDS – SPHINX – SOLAR BOAT)

After breakfast, start a full day tour visiting the Pyramids built at Giza during the 4th Dynasty are the oldest of the seven wonders and The Only ones remaining intact today. The three great Pyramids and six small pyramids are Situated on the Left bank of the Nile in Cairo Giza, Pyramids were built by three pharaohs - Cheops (Or Khufu*), Chephren (Khafre*) and Mycerinus. Then we will proceed to Lord of the Sphinx"Lord of Setpet, the Chosen Place." Princes and Kings of the 18th and 19th Dynasties erected steal between the paws of the Sphinx, which was no longer seen as a royal statue but rather as an image of the sun god Harmachis. Then we will experience a short camel ride around the Pyramids. We will continue for theSolar Boat. The boat was discovered in 1954, when the ground was cleared for a tourist road and a series of 40 slabs of limestone were found set into the ground. Then we will visit Memphis. It has corroded over the centuries, but remains very impressive. This monument may have stood outside of the Temple of Ptah along with the Colossus of Ramses II.

 

Sakkara will be out next site. The site is dominated by the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, which goes back to 2700 BC. Sakkara is also the site of many tombs from the 1st and 2nd Dynasties. Most are made out of mud bricks, but some tombs are made of limestone, decorated with daily life scenes. In the afternoontransfer to Attend the Sound and light at Giza Pyramids. Return to hotel for O/N. 

 

Day 3 (CAIRO – LUXOR – NILE CRUISE - VALLEY OF THE KINGS – HATSHEPSUT TEMPLE – COLOSSI OF MEMNON – KERNAK TEMPLE – LUXOR TEMPLE)

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for a domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our representative will assist and direct you to your Nile Cruise to drop luggage then proceed visiting the Valley of the Kings.The earliest known tomb of the New Kingdom within the Valley of the Kings is that of Tutmose I, who started to use the valley as a royal burial site. We will visit Hatshepsut Templewhich is one of the most characteristic temples due to its design and decorations. The Temple was built for the greatQueen Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty). Then we will proceed to Colossi of Memnon. These two colossal statues (about 20 meters high) of the deified Amenophis III once flanked the entrance of the first pylon at the pharaoh's mortuary temple. The temple is now completely destroyed, ruined first by flood waters and later cannibalized for its stone. Both statues are damaged as well, lacking their faces and tall royal crowns.

 

In the afternoon, we will visit Karnak Temple. The Temple of Karnak is the largest Temple in the World! The complex contains a group of Temples such as the Great Temple of Amon Ra, The Temple of Khonso, The Ipt Temple, The Temple of Ptah, the Temple of Montho and the Temple of the God Osiris. A 20m high, mud brick enclosure wall, surrounded all of these buildings. Then we will head to Luxor Temple. It was known in the New Kingdom period as Ipt-Rsyt, which means the southern shrine, Amenhotep III built Luxor Temple. The architect and overseer of the works of construction was the genius Amenhotep, son of Habu, the Temple run close and parallel to the river Nile from north to south. It was constructed on the site of a small Temple of Amon, built by kings of the 12th dynasty. Return back to Cruise for O/N. 

 

Day 4 (CRUSING THE NILE)

Breakfast on board. Sail toEsna. Lunch on board. Sail to Edfu. Dinner and O/N. 

 

Day 5 (EDFU TEMPLE – KOM OMBO TEMPLE – ASWAN)

After breakfast, we will visit Edfu temple. Edfu was known as “Apollo polis Magna” because the Greeks identified Horus with their God Apollo. The origins of the Temple probably date back to the Second Intermediate Period, but the actual Temple only dates back to Ptolemaic times. Sail to Kom Ombo

then visit Kom Ombo temple. The Temple was mainly dedicated to the God Sobek, the crocodile God, together with his wife, in another form of the Goddess Hathor. Sail toAswan. O/N on board.

 

Day 6 (HIGH DAM – UNFINISHED OBELISK – PHILAE TEMPLE – AGHA KHAN MAUSOLEUM)

After breakfast, start your day by visiting the High Dam. As a result of the Dam, a lake was formed “lake Nasser”, which is the world’s largest man made lake. Then we will visit the Unfinished Obelisk. It is believed that it was constructed and abandoned during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty). Then to Philae Templewhich was called in Hieroglyphic “Apo” which means Ivory. In the afternoon we will be taken to a Felucca ride around agha khan mausoleum and visit of the Botanical gardens. Return back to Cruise for O/N.

 

Day 7 (ASWAN – CAIRO)

After breakfast, free at leisure until flight time to Cairo. Transfer to Airport. Upon arriving Cairo, our representatives will assist you and a direct transfer to your selected hotel for O/N. 

 

Day 8 (EGYPTIAN MUSEUM - CAIRO – OLD CAIRO – BEN ERZA SYNAGOGUE – SAINT SERGIOUS CHURCH – KHAN EL-KHALILI)

After breakfast, a full day tour visiting Old Cairo. The Hanging Church derives its name from its location on top of the southern tower gate of the old Babylon fortress; it is the most famous Coptic Christian church in Cairo.  Then to Ben Ezra Synagogue whichis believed that the site of the Synagogue was where the box of Baby Moses was found in the Encyclopaedia Britannica.Saint Sergius church will be our next stop. This church was originally built in 684 AD by a wealthy scribe named Athanasius, also credited with the building of the St Cyrus and St John Church. The St George Church burned down over a hundred years ago, leaving only a large wedding hall (Qaat el Irsan). Then we visit the Citadel whichstands proudly on the highest point inside the courtyard of the Citadel of Saladin, and is also called the Alabaster Mosque after which we will visitKhan El-Khalili Bazaar. It's an ancient shopping area. The suq (which is the Arabic name for bazaar, or market) dating back to 1382. Return to hotel in Cairo for O/N.

 

Day 9 (DEPARTURE )

Meet by your Tour representative who will escort you to Cairo International Airport, assisting you through Airport check-in and Customs procedures for final departure.  A combined tour with Jordan is possible, before or after the tour.
